Our Process

Just the thought of beginning a small new project, let alone an entire home renovation, can be stressful and confusing. By providing exceptional communication, professional planning and custom design services, Modern Pine Design and Construction strives to make the process as fun and exciting as possible, with a result you’ll absolutely love.

Consultation

We’d love the opportunity to come out and walk through your space with you and discuss your vision, style and budget. We’ll put together some different design options, a preliminary budget and a project plan to work from with you.

Proposal

Once we have developed a design that meets your approval we will provide you with an updated budget (with allowances for your product selections) and a construction proposal, which indicates your commitment to proceed with the construction of your project.

Design Development

After agreeing on the proposal, we’ll work on a project start date and schedule. We’ll walk you through the selection of materials, any structural requirements and do a pre-construction on-site walkthrough.

Contract and Permitting

This is the final stage of project planning before moving into construction. Once your contract is signed we’ll begin purchasing any special order building materials required for your project and we will prepare and submit plans to the appropriate municipality for permitting.
